| Hello! My name is Megan Bishop. I am a 25 year old designer living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grew up in Columbia, MO, and moved to Minneapolis to study art at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. While at MCAD, I studied printmaking, book arts, papermaking, painting, graphic design, comic art, web design, drawing, sculpture, photography, and came away with a BFA in Illustration. For as long as I can remember, I've been creating, and I've been sewing for about 10 years. I began selling my work on eBay in 2002. From 2002-2006, I ran a small company called Milkypop, where I sold cute clothing, accessories, pocket mirrors, 1" buttons and pioneered 1" button jewelry. My work was featured in Shojo Beat magazine as well as the online magazine NEET, sold in various stores throughout the US, and I participated in many local craft shows (No Coast Craft, St. Paul Craftstravaganza, Design Fiesta, Plus/Minus, etc). In 2007, my work took on a darker aesthetic and I began working on new and different projects. This marked the end of Milkypop and the beginning of Apatico. Inspired by Victorian, goth, lolita, punk, aristocrat, fetish, and clubwear fashion, as well as a myriad of other things (taxidermy... history...), my current line takes on a feel I call "deconstructed decadence" - elaborate and fancy, but still edgy and raw. I specialize in coats & jackets for both women and men, as well as miniature crowns and hats. As Apatico, I have made a name for myself locally by participating in many fashion shows, from Rubber Ball 2008 in Minneapolis to the Spring Equinox Ball at Dances of Vice in NYC. There will be many more to come! I am currently working with several amazing designers to put together future shows and events for 2009. |

In an argument between couples,
The last words of a woman ends the argument.
The last words of a man begins the argument.
Ironic no ?
